6 Months!

So Andrew spent the night at Nana and Papa's house and had a little fun outside :) Here are some of his pictures.

He also had his 6 month check-up today and he is 13.5 lbs, 25 inches long now! :) He is doing very good the doctor said which is great! He is now able to eat stage 2 foods, so exciting! Oatmeal here we come! haha. At the end of the month we are getting him a high chair which is going to help out a lot. Then the next thing on our list is a bouncy to play in, one that he can stand up in! He loves to stand a lot.
That's the scoop for now, hopefully this week we will be having him help us carve his first pumpkin! Super fun! :)

From the Beginning

James and I met at a mutual friend's bbq in 2008. We started hanging out a lot, like everyday after that haha. We had so much in common which made it sooo much easier to talk about things that we liked and we hit it off. We started dating in May '08 and it all starts from there.

James and I got engaged a couple months later. I mean when you know you know :) and I was soooo happy!!! I was so excited about taking the next step and couldn't wait to tell everyone. We planned to get married in the summer of 2009.

I woke up one morning in Sept. and for some reason I convinced myself I needed to take a pregnancy test. I don't know why but I just felt like I had to. Well, I found out that I was pregnant! I told James and started crying. I didn't know if I should be excited or worried. I went to the Dr and it was confirmed I was a month pregnant! They said our little peanut will be due around the middle of May. It took me awhile for it really to sink in, I couldn't believe it.

Due to me not having insurance we agreed it would be best if we just moved the wedding up a bit. So instead of the following summer we planning for the next month in Oct. Yes, that means we had like 5 weeks or something like that to plan...and for a wedding that was crazy. We had a small cute wedding on Oct. 11 2009. So even though we didn't have much time to plan for it or save up like we wanted it was still amazing. After everything was done we were off to the beach for the weekend.
As the months went by and me getting bigger and bigger we eagerly awaited the day we found out what we were having. In the room was James, my mom, and my dad. The tech rolled the shindig over my belly and showed us that we were having a baby boy!! My dad and James even did a high five over me, how sweet LOL! So then we could start thinking of names. I had plenty in mind but finding one that both of us liked seemed to be an impossible mission. But James had suggested Andrew and I loved it so there you go :)

On April 12th I was trying to sleep and I just couldn't get comfortable at all, I was tossing and turning and my stomach hurt. So I called the nurse and she said f it continues for another hour to call in again. So I waited and it seemed to get a little better so that's what I told the nurse. She said that I should just sleep it off but if I really wanted to come in later if it got worse again I should. So I tried to go back to sleep, it was about midnight and I was sooo tired. With an hour going by I still couldn't sleep so I woke James up again and we decided to go to the hospital. We got in the triage room or whatever around 2 and I got all hooked up to the monitors. After being on them for about 2 hours, so it was about 4 or so by now, they said that Andrew will be coming out sometime today. I was so nervous. I had James call mom and tell her what was up and she got there around 5 or so. We were told that they were going to break my water around 10 so they were going to give me an epidural around then. OH I almost forgot the most horrible part of the night, They were trying to give me the iv and kept missing or something and had to try like 6 times NO JOKE and so my arms hurt really bad for days, not cool! Anyways, I got the epidural and then they broke my water about 10 or 11 and well, after that it seemed to go by really fast. By 2 I was ready to push and by 2:15 he came right out :) I had James, my mom, my dad, and Juli there with me. And right after Andrew came out James' mom and sister came in. I was sooooooooo uber happy to finally be able to hold him and not have him in my belly haha. He was 4 lbs 10 oz and 18 inches long. He went down to 4 lbs 5 oz. He was a month early but we still got to leave after the normal time, Monday to Wednesday.
